We had the privilege of being a part of the ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ of Mandurriao National High School as Resource Speaker for a discussion on โ๐๐ค๐จ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐: ๐ฟ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฉ ๐๐๐ค๐ก๐๐ฃ๐๐,โ where we explored how families can respond to changing times through positive and non-violent discipline.
In a time when children are growing up not only in the physical world but also in an increasingly influential digital environment, parenting today means being present where children areโat home, in school, and especially online. Besides the parents, teachers, friends, leaders, and the community all have a part in shaping the person a child becomes.
As I shared during the session, โThe most non-violent form of parenting is to listen.โ Raising a child is not just about inculcating discipline, we also must show unconditional love, teach hard truths and help them stand on their own.
