






Project Description
A collaborative response to the growing incidents of fire that recently devastated lives and properties in the City of Iloilo, this intervention intends to create awareness on fire and fire hazards among the Ilonggos. It likewise aims to ensure early detection and rapid intervention anent potential electrical hazards in densely populated areas in the city through the conduct of multi-stakeholder dialogues and safety inspections. This project complements the City Government’s endeavors towards a proactive approach in fire prevention.
Project Milestones
The Integrated Approach to Fire Prevention program reached an impressive milestone with 1000 participants across 84 barangays in the city, focusing particularly on areas susceptible to fire incidents. This initiative served as a powerful reminder to our office and partner agencies like the Bureau of Fire Protection and More Power that community members are eager to engage in fire prevention efforts to safeguard their lives and protect their properties responsibly. Residents actively invested their time in learning and applying fire prevention tips. At the barangay level, it became evident that communities require additional resources like this project to enhance their quality of life.
Future Plans
Recognizing the barangay’s response to this initiative, this Office hopes to broaden it’s implementation in scope and frequency.
