Just hours before the rise of yesterdayโs rare blood moon, we gathered once again for UGSAD, our monthly Full Moon Clean-Up Drive initiated by the Office of Sedfrey L. Cabaluna.
ย
This month, our focus was a heavily clogged portion of the creek connected to the ๐ง๐ถ๐ด๐๐บ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฟ๐ด๐. ๐๐๐ฏ๐ฎ๐, where water had nearly stopped flowing due to massive trash blockage. Plastics, household waste, and debris carelessly thrown from nearby areas and even directly from the bridge had accumulated over time, turning what should be a living waterway into a stagnant basin.
ย
The reality was overwhelming. Despite mobilizing our teams, ๐ด๐ฐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ โ and still, the work continues. The volume speaks not only of neglect, but of the urgent need for shared responsibility.

This initiative was made possible through the collective effort of:

UGSAD is a monthly reminder that environmental stewardship is not seasonal, not selective, and not someone elseโs job. The river reflects our habits. If we want cleaner waters, we must build cleaner disciplines.
ย
Under a blood moon that symbolizes transformation, may this serve as ours โ from disposal to responsibility, from apathy to action.
Padayon ang pag-UGSAD!
